Winter is almost here! That means it’s time to start boosting your immune system to prevent catching those colds and flu and stay healthy this holiday season.

  1. Keep calm: The holidays often mean more running around, stress, and late nights. All of which can severely weaken your immune system! Try to take a few moments to take a deep breath every few hours and get some quality R&R.

  2. Eat more soups and stews: Cooked foods and broths are easier to digest so that you can absorb the nutrients easily and improve your immune system function. Another plus, it warms your body from the inside out!

  3. Vitamin D: With less sunshine during the day, the body doesn’t get enough vitamin D. Adding a little vitamin D in the winter helps your white blood cells get rid of bacterial and viral infections quickly.
